Fishing is simple. it is us anglers who make it difficult! just remember to keep things simple, and those small things make a mountain of difference!

tip of the month.

“When using the Garbolino Speed Mould try wetting a bag of micro pellets and filling the mould with the wet micro pellets and gently press your Garbolino method feeder into the mould, tap out the feeder and ready to cast out, a little feeder of pellets and a hair rigged pellet. What carp can resist that?”

'Cookie' as he is known to everyone on the match circuit is a top bloke. He has been about for years and won virtually everything there is to win in modern day match fishing (and also olden days!). Steve is brilliant on product and often comes up with the solution to solving those difficult development issues. Steve is responsible for the development of the Super G Feeder soft glass tips which make this rod so versatile. In fishing he can catch anything that swims and when bream fishing on rivers was all the rage Steve was tough to beat. Nowadays you don't want to draw next to him on carp!

Top Tip:

1) When re-elasticating my Garbolino G10, I save the off cuts of the hollow elastic and tie small loops in it and slide it onto my top kits to hook up my rigs, why? This helps keep the elastic out of the sun which degrades it very quickly; it also stops the lube drying out in the pole which means less time re-lubricating it and more time fishing!
2) I use the Super G10 Bomb and Super G11 Feeder for all my commercial feeder fishing, even using method feeder to cast up to sixty meters, why you're thinking when it's far easier to cast with a bigger stronger rod? The answer is simple, most fish are lost while playing them close to the net and with the G10 and G11 being soft and very forgiving if a fish makes a lunge away from the net the soft forgiving tip sections will always give you a little bit more and soak up each lunge, just like elastic pulling out of your pole, so less fish lost at the net and more fish in the net!!
