For many years we have supplied the French National team with poles and they have won many world championships both individually and as a team. The late great Bobby Smithers won the World Championships using a Garbolino Pole as did Kevin Ashurst!
In all that time we have built up a vast knowledge of how to make the best poles and we continue to support some of the worlds best anglers who use Garbolino poles today.
The change in the style of match fishing in the UK has created a different need for the competition pole. Todays poles need to withstand 'Commercial carping' as well as be light and stiff enough to fish at 16m or even longer. Garbolino pioneered this new generation of poles with legends like the Renaissance poles and continue to lead the way with the mighty Super G10!
