Age: 39
Profession: ANGLING & BAITS SUPPLIER
Grant Albutt emerged on the Commercial match scene as one of the first generations of specialist commercial anglers. His approach is meticulous and he is responsible for creating and developing several different methods for carp fishing. Probably one of the best 'Carp pole shallow' anglers around Grant was also the first to latch on to the effectiveness of liquidized meat fed through a kinder pot.

Top Tip:
-Take your time plumbing the depths (It's important)-Always mark your Pole the Depth of your swim (I use Tipex)
-When using 2 rigs the same make sure you plumb up both rigs instead of just pulling your float down to match the other as elastics will differ when stretched and you could be a good few centimetres out (Very Important)
-Always use fresh Baits, especially when meat and corn fishing.
-Always clean your Pole down at the end of the Day before sliding sections back into each other. The tiniest bit of grit/dirt can do a lot of damage.
-When fishing the pole pick a marker on the far bank i.e. Tree, bush so you always know where exactly you're fishing.
-Keep it simple, don't over complicate
